Dedication and picnic

Armory/Convocation Center on the DSLCC campus.
All students, parents, and others who helped make the
Jackson River Governor's School a reality were invited to join in celebrating
the opening of this special opportunity.

Twenty six of our new students came to DSLCC on Thursday, April 20,
2000 for the dedication of the Jackson River Governor's School.

Dr. David Smith, Superintendent of Bath County Public Schools and new
chairman of the JRGS Governing Board.

Dr. Richard Teaff, President, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College

Dr. Terry King, Dean of Instruction, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College

Dr. Patricia Wright, Director of Secondary Education, Virginia Department
of Education
