Laptops and Wireless Network Arrive at the Governor's SchoolOctober 2003 One of the first wireless networks in the area has been installed at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge. A partnership between DSLCC and the Jackson River Governor’s School has put wireless networking in the second floor of Backels Hall. With wireless networking, any classroom can become a computer lab including access to the Internet. The Governor’s School makes extensive use of this flexible network. All juniors at the Governor’s School have been assigned a laptop computer for use in their studies. Computer assignments have been integrated into every junior-year course, including on-line exams and laboratories. |
