Laptops and Wireless Network Arrive at the Governor's School

One of the first wireless networks in the area has been installed at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge. A partnership between DSLCC and the Jackson River Governor’s School has put wireless networking in the second floor of Backels Hall. With wireless networking, any classroom can become a computer lab including access to the Internet.

The Governor’s School makes extensive use of this flexible network. All juniors at the Governor’s School have been assigned a laptop computer for use in their studies. Computer assignments have been integrated into every junior-year course, including on-line exams and laboratories.
